I am a seasoned IT professional with over three decades of experience, having begun my career in the late 1980s. Throughout this journey, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of industries, including the public sector, private enterprises, and banking. My career has taken me from large-scale, complex programmes—some valued at over £1 billion—to the everyday challenges of keeping technology running smoothly.
As I approach retirement, my focus is shifting from major corporate projects to something more personal and community-driven: helping individuals and small home-based businesses with their IT needs. Technology can often feel overwhelming, especially for older generations who may not have grown up with it. Even younger people, despite being more familiar with digital tools, often find IT frustrating—they simply want it to work without the hassle.
I believe this is where my experience can make a real difference. By offering clear, practical support, I aim to demystify technology, reduce stress, and empower people to use IT with confidence. Whether it’s setting up devices, troubleshooting problems, or guiding small businesses through digital solutions, I want to bring the same professionalism and care I applied to billion-pound projects into helping everyday users thrive in a digital world.
